SCPLS Hosts ‘Love Your Closet Clothing Swap for Adults’ at the King Family Library – February

Got a closet full of clothes that you no longer enjoy wearing? How about trading those clothes in for some new-to-you clothing for free?! All you do is bring your clean, damage/scent free, gently-used, functional clothing to be placed in the Love Your Closet Clothing Swap for Adults happening on Saturday, February 4th at the SCPLS King Family Library.

To participate in the swap, please bring your clothing, shoes, and accessories to the King Family Library to fill the ‘store’ for the swap from January 23-February 2, 2023 during library hours of operation. For each item that is accepted for the swap, you will receive one (1) token. For example, 15 items is equal to 15 tokens as each item has equal value. Clothing, preferably on hangers, must be clean, scent- and damage-free. Shoes should be placed in pairs in Ziploc bags. No hats will be accepted, and smelly or damaged clothes will be refused.

To trade your tokens during the Love Your Closet Clothing Swap for Adults, visit the King Family Library on Saturday, February 4th. Shoppers with tokens will be able to shop from 10:00am-1:00pm and shoppers without tokens will shop from 1:00-2:00pm. The ‘store’ will be set up in the Burchfield Meeting Room at the King Family Library, 408 High Street in Sevierville.

Clothing swaps are a great way to downsize your closet and give life to pre-loved items by shopping sustainably in an eco-friendly and socially conscious way. The Love Your Closet Clothing Swap for Adults is open to the public. All remaining items leftover from the swap will be donated to the Sevier County Food Ministry, KARM, Goodwill, or the Salvation Army. For additional information or questions, please call 865.453.3532 or see the event page at www.facebook.com/SevierCountyPublicLibrarySystem/.
