SCPLS Williams Family Seymour Branch Library Hosts Adult Chair Exercise Program – February

Join the Williams Family Seymour Branch Library for their exciting Adult Chair Exercise program! Hosted by Laura, the class is limited to 20 adults with registration required. If you’re looking for a stable way to move your body, but feel unsteady on your feet or unable to manage traditional exercise programs, this program may be a great fit for you.

The Adult Chair Exercise program meets most weeks from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. The sessions this month are on the following Mondays – February 5, 12, & 26. Exercises will be performed while sitting in a chair and are designed to move your entire body. The program is open to adults of various fitness levels. A waiver is required to participate. Please bring 1-2 pound weights (or filled water bottles) to these sessions.

Can’t make it to Seymour for a workout? No worries! The King Family Library offers some exercise options for you. You can use the exercise bike available in the Makerspace on the 3rd floor of the library during library hours. Just make sure to sign a waiver before usage. If you need to relax and recharge, you can also check out one of the library’s yoga mats for in-house use. Take some time to meditate, practice yoga, or do some basic exercises at your convenience according to your schedule.

The SCPLS Williams Family Seymour Branch Library is at 137 W. Macon Lane in Seymour. The King Family Library is located at 408 High Street, in Sevierville. For more information or to register, please call 865.573.0728 (Williams Family), or 865.453.3532 (King Family).
