New Author Event Coming to SCPLS King Family Library – March

The SCPLS King Family Library is hosting Carrie Verdino for an author visit and book signing on Tuesday, March 5 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. During her library appearance, Carrie will discuss her first children’s book, Lazy Lenny, a book that was a family endeavor. Carrie wrote and illustrated the book while her daughter proofread it, and her son compiled and edited it for printing.

Carrie grew up in Pennsylvania where she studied art in school. She later moved with her family to Florida where she met her husband. Together, they raised two wonderful, ambitious children and later moved to Tennessee where they have made their home.

In Carrie’s inaugural book, Lazy Lenny, Lenny is having the time of his life doing whatever he wants while his parents clean up his mess. When Lenny’s parents leave for a much-needed vacation, Lenny is forced to take responsibility for his actions. Will Lenny be able to grow up and take care of business, or will he be lazy forever? Join Lenny on his path to becoming a real adult and share his experience with children of your own to instill the life lesson that responsibility is more important than having a good time.

Meet Carrie and find out more about her book during the book talk, sale, and signing at the King Family Library, 408 High Street, Sevierville. For more information, please call 865.453.3532.
